Enfucell strengthens PE ecosystem, teams up with PragmatIC Printing and PEL

28.03.2012

Enfucell has agreed on deeper cooperation with two leading companies in printed electronics: Pragmatic Printing Ltd and Printed Electronics Limited (PEL). The parties announce an ecosystem for integrated printed electronics products and will together provide all the key technology elements for complete PE products aimed at the consumer, security and novelty markets.

Enfucell, together with PragmatIC Printing and PEL, have together developed an integrated printed electronics concept in business card format, representative of the form and function being explored by a number of customers for interactive print media as well as promotion of consumer goods brands.

This new platform concept will be presented at Printed Electronics Europe trade show in Berlin on 3-4 April at Enfucell’s booth #E107.

About PragmatIC Printing Ltd

PragmatIC Printing, located in Cambridge, UK, offers logic circuits that introduce intelligence and interactivity into a wide range of products and applications, in form factors that are not possible using silicon chips. In 2010 PragmatIC, acquired the printed electronics business of Nano ePrint Ltd, including its patented technology for planar nano-electronic devices that can uniquely be fabricated in a single semiconductor layer via single-step imprint patterning. PragmatIC has extended this proven imprinting process to allow a full range of device and circuit architectures to be printed in transparent, flexible semiconductors at micron and submicron scale.

About Printed Electronics Ltd

Printed Electronics Limited (PEL) is a UK company developing processes and systems for the commercial fabrication and integration of electronic circuits, demonstrators and devices using inkjet and digital methods. PEL’s state of the art Inkjet and Digital Electronics Development Facility provides leading edge equipment and capability to shorten product development lead-times and reduce costs.
