Ambea has joined the Medical Advisory Board of a care technology project initiated by Kauniala hospital and Enfucell
Kaunialan sairaala Oy, a privately held hospital specialising in the care of elderly patients, and Enfucell Oy, technology provider of sensors as well as flexible and disposable batteries, have gathered a consortium for creating a remote care service concept for elderly persons, including the needed sensor and communications technology. The core of the system is a wireless soft sensor patch, which is flexible and simple for its user, for monitoring vital signs. The sensor patch will be in connection with a hospital control room through a home terminal to support home care of elderly clients.
Ambea Sverige AB, the largest healthcare and care services company in the Nordic region, has now joined the Medical Advisory Board of this project. The purpose of the Medical Advisory Board is to follow up on the progress and to contribute to specification work for the target system during 2017. Later the members are potential sites for clinical testing and eventually they are intended to be among the first ones to introduce a remote care service to elderly clients commercially. New members to the advisory board are still being sought, first and foremost institutions outside Finland.
