Enfucell selected as a nominee for GCCA later stage award
Enfucell Ltd has been nominated for the first annual Global Cleantech Later Stage Awards, hosted by the Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA). The nomination is for the energy efficiency category and it was made by the Finnish Cleantech Cluster, a founding member of the GCCA.
Judged by leading venture capital investors and entrepreneurs from around the world, the awards vet the very best in established clean technology. Winning companies will receive international investment exposure and business support.
"The world does not have the luxury to wait for the next, game changing clean technology to gradually rise to the surface," said Ben Taube, Chair of the GCCA. "With the Global Cleantech Later Stage Awards we spotlight the very best the industry has to offer and expose them to investment and business opportunities around the world."
Judges for the Global Cleantech Later Stage Awards include prominent investors and entrepreneurs including: US Venture Partners, BASF Venture Capital, UK Trade & Investment: Global Entrepreneur Programme, SOFINOVA Partners, Mountain Cleantech and Generation Investment Management.
"These judges will apply the same rigorous due diligence they bring to their own investments," said Shawn Lesser of Sustainable World Capital and a co-founder of the GCCA. "Companies will have to prove their technology is viable, has a customer base and is producing revenue in order to win."
Global Cleantech Later Stage Awards will be given in 10 categories, including renewable energy, transportation, green building materials, water, waste, energy efficiency and agriculture. In addition, three Most Impactful awards will be given to technologies that are improving the quality of life for people around the world, particularly in developing countries.

At the moment Enfucell is working on raising 1-2 million € for further commercialization of SoftBattery.
