Juha Kokkila, Chairman since 2011
Mr. Kokkila M.Sc. (Civ. Eng.) is a board professional and Chairman of AMK-Holding Oy, a private investment company in Espoo, Finland. For 13 years he was CEO and Chairman of CMC-Group Oy, a subsidiary of AMK-Holding Oy, until the company was acquired by Pöyry Group Plc in 2005. CMC-Group was a significant construction management company in Finland and the Baltic States.
Besides his responsibility at Enfucell, Juha is Chairman of the Board of GSP Group Oy and a member of the Board of Bodim Port Oy (Body Shop in Finland and the Baltics).
Markku Kaloniemi, Member since 2011
Mr. Markku Kaloniemi, M. Sc. (Econ.), is a fund manager of Fim Forte, Fim Mondo and Fim Fenno investment funds at FIM Asset management Ltd. Markku has been in the banking industry since 1987 and is also a private investor. In addition to Enfucell, he is also a board member of FIM Group Ltd. and Vivago Ltd.
Markku Hänninen, Member since 2012
A board professional and an angel investor. Markku made a long career at Andritz, a listed Austrian company, starting at Andritz Kone Wood Inc., Atlanta, GA in 1994 and finishing as a Member of the Executive Board of Andritz AG 2002-2006, serving also as President of Andritz Oy (Finland) since 1997. Prior to Andritz he worked ca. 20 years at Kone Corporation in various managerial position, since 1986 in the USA. Markku served in the Enfucell board in 2010-2011 and additionally he serves in the boards of FSP Finnish Steel Painting Oy, Viafin Oy, Mesera Oy and Facilitator Oy.

Risto joined the Enfucell team in January 2007 and is responsible for commercial activities of the company. Before Enfucell he worked as a management consultant and trainer, serving also as interim manager. Risto has a 20+ years experience in sales and marketing management and his leadership experience includes companies like TeliaSonera, Sanoma Corporation and Tamore Group.
Risto has also served as a board member in several industry and non-profit organisations, including RFID Lab Finland, the American Chamber of Commerce in Finland, CBMC International, Inc. (Omaha, NE, USA), and Europartners (The Netherlands and Switzerland). Today he serves as Chairman of Crown Finland.
Risto holds a diploma in marketing management from The Helsinki Institute of Marketing.
Dr. Xiachang Zhang, Chief Technology Officer

Xiachang Zhang is the father of Enfucell’s SoftBattery, and the company’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer since its beginning 2002.
In 1990 he left China for Finland to pursue the doctor degree at the Helsinki University of Technology, and he’s been living in Finland ever since. He has vast experiences in bioprocess monitoring and control, biological fuel cell and thin flexible battery technology from the international research work he led in the last two decades. In parallel to his strong technological background, he has been involved in business and financial activities in other small companies. In March 2007 Dr. Zhang was nominated as one of the ten most influential Chinese by a major Chinese media consortium led by Phoenix TV.
Xiachang Zhang is a Doctor of Technology from The Helsinki University of Technology, and also holds a Master’s degree in biotechnology from the East China University of Science and Technology in 1987. In 2007 he was nominated as Honorary Professor of the East China University of Science and Technology.
Timo Kärkkäinen, Vice President of Production

Timo was appointed as Vice President of Production in November 2007. Before joining Enfucell he worked earlier for Tervakoski Films Group/Rani Plast Oy in several production development and management positions since 1995.
Timo holds B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Tampere Polytechnic, and MBA from the University of Wales.
Anja Talo, Project Director

Ms Talo has served Enfucell since February 2006 in various technical and engineering capacities, i.e. Product Development Engineer and Project Manager and in October 2011 she was appointed Project Director, overseeing all major projects, including FP7 projects Ropas and Flexibility.
Prior to joining Enfucell Anja was a research scientist for more than 15 years at Helsinki University of Technology (today known as Aalto University, School of Science and Technology).
Anja holds Lic.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology.

Arja holds a diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Marketing and a diploma in Leadership from Leadership Academy.
