Enfucell among top 20 in Tekes funding list 2008

According to the list published on 27 January, 2009 by Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, Enfucell was among top 20 companies who received funding for its technology projects. In 2008 Tekes invested in Enfucell SoftBattery development 1,4 million euros.

The top 20 list was the following:

  12. Teleste 2,0
  13. Hormos Medical 1,9
  14. Biotie Therapies 1,7
  15. Fruugo 1,5
  16. Valio 1,5
  17. Honeywell 1,4
  18. VTI Technologies 1,4
  19. Enfucell 1,4
  20. Fastrax 1,3

In 2008, Tekes invested 516 million euros in close to 2,000 research and development projects, the total spending amounting to nearly one billion. Of this, corporate R&D and innovation accounted for 293 million euros and research at public universities, polytechnics and research institutes for 223 million euros. In terms of complexity and technology, most projects represented the highest level of advancement, at least by national standards.
