Dr. Xia-Chang Zhang has been selected as one of the 26 finalists in an award winning contest

Dr. Xia-Chang Zhang, CTO of Enfucell and the father of the SoftBatteryTM, has been selected as one of the 26 finalists in an award winning contest, “You Bring Charm To The World As An Influential Chinese 2006”.

In the year 2006 the growing prominence of the Chinese on the world stage together with the outstanding performance of many Chinese throughout the world saw influential and creative Chinese attract worldwide attention. The Awards are designed to honor and commend those influential Chinese who have made the greatest contribution to mankind in 2006. The Awards Ceremony where the 10 winners will be announced will be held on March 31, 2007 in Beijing.

The contest is co-hosted by ten major Chinese media organisations, including Phoenix Satellite Television and Phoenix New Media, Hong Kong Ming Pao Daily Group, Malaysia Sin Chew Daily, US World Journal, China News Service, Beijing Youth Daily, Nan Fang Daily Group, Sina.com, and Baidu.com.

Dr. Zhang left China for Finland in 1990 to pursue the doctor degree at the Helsinki University of Technology, and he’s been living in Finland ever since. Today he is also a Finnish citizen. He has vast experiences in bioprocess monitoring and control, biological fuel cell and thin flexible battery technology from the international research work he led in the last two decades.
