Juha Koskinen, Chief Executive Officer

Juha started as CEO on the 1st of December, 2007, and he knows Enfucell well after having served the company as a member of the board and as a management consultant. Previously Juha has worked at Siemens Corporation in Finland and Germany from 1982 to 1999, serving also as CEO of ICET, a European high speed train consortium belonging to the Siemens group.
Before moving into management consulting in 2002, he served as CEO of Sanmina Oy, a Finnish subsidiary of the international electronics supplier Sanmina, from 1999-2002.
Juha holds M.Sc. in Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology and M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Helsinki.

Risto joined the Enfucell team in January, 2007 as Vice President Sales & Marketing, and he has also been acting CEO of the company before his position as COO on the 1st of December, 2007.
Risto has a 20+ years experience in sales and marketing management. Before Enfucell he worked as a management consultant and trainer, serving also as interim manager. Risto’s leadership experience includes companies like TeliaSonera, Sanoma Corporation and Tamore Group.
Risto has also served as a board member and chairman of Europartners (The Netherlands and Switzerland) in 1995-2006, and a board member at CBMC International, Inc. (Omaha, NE, USA) 2004-2006. Europartners and CBMC are non-profit international associations for Christian business people.
Risto holds a diploma in marketing management from The Helsinki Institute of Marketing.
Dr. Xiachang Zhang, Chief Technology Officer

Xiachang Zhang is the father of Enfucell’s SoftBattery, and the company’s Chief Technology Officer since its beginning 2002.
In 1990 he left China for Finland to pursue the doctor degree at the Helsinki University of Technology, and he’s been living in Finland ever since. He has vast experiences in bioprocess monitoring and control, biological fuel cell and thin flexible battery technology from the international research work he led in the last two decades. In parallel to his strong technological background, he has been involved in business and financial activities in other small companies. In March 2007 Dr. Zhang was nominated as one of the ten most influential Chinese by a major Chinese media consortium led by Phoenix TV.
Xiachang Zhang is a Doctor of Technology from The Helsinki University of Technology, and also holds a Master’s degree in biotechnology from the East China University of Science and Technology in 1987. In 2007 he was nominated as Honorary Professor of the East China University of Science and Technology.
Markku Paukku, President of Enfucell, Inc. (USA)

Before his position as head of Enfucell US operations, Markku has served Enfucell as a consultant and as Vice President of Sales since spring 2007.
Prior to joining Enfucell Mr. Paukku has worked in various senior leadership positions for more than 20 years, serving Wärtsilä Corporation and Tamrock in USA, Canada, France and the UK. Markku’s wide international career also includes seven years in the Finnish Diplomatic Service, serving as Trade Commissioner and Vice-Consul in the Finnish embassies in South Africa and Australia. As a consultant Markku has also worked and lived for one year in Malaysia.
Markku holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics.
Timo Kärkkäinen, Vice President of Production

Timo was appointed as Vice President of Production on the 1st of November, 2007. Timo worked earlier for Tervakoski Films Group/Rani Plast Oy in several production development and management positions since 1995.
Timo holds B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Tampere Polytechnic, and recently completed his MBA from University of Wales.
Mika Sarajuuri, Vice President, IPR

Mika Sarajuuri joined Enfucell in March 2008 as VP IPR. Since 2004 he worked as IPR Director at Liekki Corporation, a leading supplier of highly doped fibers designs. Earlier he has been working as IPR Director at Sonera (TeliaSonera), and as patent attorney at two major Finnish patent agencies, Kolster and Papula. In his earlier days Mika also worked at Nokia Research Center.
Mika holds M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology, and MBA from Helsinki School of Economics. He is also Registered European Patent Attorney (EPA) and Registered Patent Agent in Finland. Mika has also been a long time board member of The Finnish Association for IPR's.
